Equator Village Addu Atoll, Maldives Maldives - the way you have never imagined it. This area is completely different to the rest of the Maldives. Reached by a 90-minute domestic flight featuring amazing views of the atolls and an equator crossing, the island was a former British air base, and evidence of this remains both around the islands, and in the hotel itself. One of the highlights of this area is the diving - one of the best areas in the Maldives - featuring impressive coral formations and an amazing wreck dive. If diving is not for you, the complimentary snorkelling excursions offer an outstanding underwater experience. The hotel is set amongst tranquil gardens with a petite private beach accessed by steps, and plenty of facilities to keep you entertained during your stay. The ideal choice for independent travellers and keen divers wishing to experience authentic Maldivian culture and incredible diving. NB. Guests may need to wait in Malé for a short time to await their transfer to the island.
